Pianist, composer, conductor, artistic director and producer Antoine Hervé is a household name on the French music scene.
After graduating from Paris Conservatory, he received several prizes, among them the Django Reinhardt Award from the Académie du Jazz in 1985.
From 1987 to 1989, he conducted French Orchestre National de Jazz in more than 140 concerts and for several productions, notably the CDs “ONJ 87″ and “African Dream” (89) .
Hervé also founded several organisations and composed for musicals and contemporary classical ensembles. In the jazz field, he performed or recorded with international stars such as Markus Stockhausen, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Gil Evans, Quincy Jones :

Antoine Hervé is also a radio producer on France Musique, and on France 2, national french television, for a TV show called “La Boîte à Musique” with Jean-François Zygel :

Born in Paris on 20 January 1959, he started piano lessons at the age of eight and went on to complete his education at the Paris Conservatory, where he studied piano with Pierre Sancan, orchestration with Marius Constant, and composition with Daniel Lesur, Henri Challan, Jean-Claude Reynaud, and Claude Ballif.
Antoine Hervé composed the music to Philippe Découflé’s ballet “Tutti”, arranged the sound track to Eric Rochant’s film “Un Monde Sans Pitié”, and composed the score for “Mr. Astaire”, a musical by Gérard Paquet with Dee-Dee Bridgewater.
In 1990 he founded the association “Hexameron” to promote all forms of improvisation.
Having met the Bulgarian Turkish singer Yildiz Ibrahimova, he formed the Antoine Hervé Quintet, with which he recorded the CD “Paris-Zagreb”.

“Funky People”, “Tribute to Federico Fellini”, “Courant d’Air“and other pieces for brass ensemble,
Few Pieces for string quartet and chamber orchestras.
About twenty pieces for big-band.
He founded “Pierre & Marie Tuerie” in 2006, a new electrojazz band with Veronique Wilmart laptop and keyboards, Jean-Charles Richard sax, Philippe “Pipon” Garcia drums, and since 2007, gives his famous “Jazz Lessons” monthly in many places, concert-conferences around themes as “Oscar Peterson”, “Bill Evans”, “Thelonious Monk”, “Chick Corea”, “Keith Jarrett”, “Herbie Hancock”, “Louis Armstrong”, “Weather report”, “Charles Mingus”, “The Bossa Nova”, “The Piano Blues”, “Waynes Shorter”…to help people discovering and enjoying jazz music.
A musician who avoids any form of compartmentalization and is open to communication,
Antoine Hervé is the epitome of jazz : vivacious, constantly changing, and completely up-to-date.
